The 45th Annual Hunter/Jumper Prix de Villes of North America Equestrian Team Competition

The Prix de Villes (Prize of the Cities) is an equestrian team competition initiated in 1966 by renowned horseman Laddie Andahazy, founder of Lake Erie College’s Equestrian program.  Individual Sweepstakes jumper classes will take place on Saturday 4/20 from 8 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. Also on Saturday, the Hunter Derby is set to begin not before 4 p.m. Derby competitors will navigate a traditional hunter type course which may include banks, ditches, in and outs and bending lines. Hunter Derby riders are judged based on equitation. Jumper riders are judged based on time and faults. Team classes are held on Sunday 4/21 beginning at 8 a.m. Low teams will compete at 3′ and high teams compete at 3’6″ in the first rounds. Double clear riders will compete in the jump off at 3’3″ for low and 3’9″ for high.
